Are consultations free?
Consultations are free with service at CurlBar. Without service, the consultation fee is $25.

I need to re-schedule my appointment. I don’t want to forfeit my deposit of $25. What is the deadline for cancellations?
24-hour notice is required on all cancellations.

How long do i have to reschedule my Consultation?
Your Consultation can be rescheduled once within a 3 month period.

Is my deposit of $25 refundable once I schedule my appointment?
No. All deposits are non-refundable.

I’d like to bring a friend along for my visit. Can he or she wait?
Not at this time. Appointments are for scheduled clients only. Sorry, No Exceptions. Your guest may wait in our store area while you are being serviced.

Do you have to make a deposit for CurlBar?
No deposit is needed to make an appointment from Monday-Friday. Saturdays require a deposit.

Do I get charged if I cancel my appointment?
No, but a courtesy notice is much appreciated.

Can I get a consultation?
We do offer a quick look see at CurlBar before service.

Can I write a check at CurlBar?
Not at this time. We accept cash and all major credit cards.

What is the minimum age that a child can come and get their hair done?
We recommend 4 years old and beyond. We will make any age exception if you feel you child will sit through a service.

Will Miko and Titi be styling my hair for Curlbar?
No. Our stylists at CurlBar have been hand trained by Miko and Titi.

Are there any other locations?
CurlBar is currently only located in SoHo, NYC.

Will the price be higher if my hair is longer or denser?
No. Great news! All of our prices are fixed and will not go up based on your length or density.

What is the difference between Curlbarl, and Miss Jessie’s Salon?
CurlBar is quick salon services at great prices. Just cuts, styling and color. No silkeners. Miss Jessie’s Salon is a full service salon open Saturdays and by appointment only – a consultation fee is required as well.

How long will my appointment take?
Set aside at least 2-4 hours give or take. Working with natural hair can be a very manual process.

Can I bring a friend along for my service?
Due to the overwhelming response to CurlBar, only clients with appointments that are being serviced are permitted in the salon. Your guest may wait for you in our store area.

If my hair is Relaxed, can I get it styled?
Absolutely. We work with transitioners and relaxed hair. Our styling menu includes straight styling.

Do you do weave or braids?
Not at the moment.

Who is going to style my hair?
One of our our licensed stylist trained exclusively by Miko and Titi.

Do I have to come in with my hair at its natural state?
Its better if you do but not required.

Will I be taught how to maintain my hairstyle?
Yes, we will recommend the products and style methods for everyday maintenance.
